I like it very alot.
And it's awesome.
And it has guns.
And it has light sabers
It has person clones. And it has Jedis. And it has droids.
It has wars.
And ships.
That should be all.

Popeye's Lost Tooth
Popeye lost his first tooth on Sunday, in the back of the van, on our way home from Jacksonville. He was thrilled. Before he went to bed that night I asked him if he wanted to put his tooth under his pillow or if he wanted to just give it to me now and I would give him the money. (I know, not cool. But we tell our kids the aweful truth and then let them pretend) He said he wanted to put it under his pillow.
When he woke up the next morning I asked him if he found his money under his pillow. He said, "Yes, it was just a dollar."
????
How much does my SEVEN year old think a tiny little tooth is worth?
"Well, it was a small tooth." I said.
He just shrugged and grinned at me.
That tooth might not be worth much in my book, but that grin sure is.

Spring Break
We took it easy over spring break. On Tuesday we went to the lake with some friends. We took a picnic and did a lot of hiking. The weather was beautiful and the kids (and Mamas) were thrilled to be outside. Unfortunately, Popeye was running a fever before the day was over and by Wednesday we had three sickuns at our house.
And that's how we spent the rest of our spring break. But I doubt you want to see pictures of that so I'll just show you pics of our day at the lake.

Popeye: The Poster Boy for Precious Princes
I know that some day he probably won't like me calling him that, but right now, when I tuck him in at night and kiss his nose and say, "I love you, baby boy" he still smiles and snuggles in.
He loves legos, and nerf guns, and fighting his Daddy.
Even though, or maybe because, he is only two years older than Princess he takes such good care of her.
He's my little 'sugar bug'.
Boys beware.

P.S. Hubs helped with the title.

The Christmas Sounds of Babione6
Last week MIL, myself, Bobo, and Bear went to the high school's winter musical. They did White Christmas.
My history with White Christmas is special. You see, For three years in a row I traveled with a competition cheer squad to Nashville, TN at Christmas for our cheer nationals. Everything was held in the Opryland Hotel.
Everything.
Our rooms were there and the competition was in their ball rooms. It was actually a brilliant plan bc the cheerleaders, coaches, and families never had to fight traffic or parking, and during down times we could hang out in our rooms instead of in hallways or foyers.
But you didn't really need to know that.
Anywho, the Opryland Hotel has one channel on their t.v.'s that loops White Christmas during...well...Christmas. I honestly don't think I had ever seen White Christmas straight through from start to finish. I'm pretty sure I had seen the whole thing just in bits and pieces here and there.
I'll be honest, I was disappointed with the high school's production. But it did make me want to find the movie to watch at home. So Husband rented it for me the next day and we all sat down to watch it together.
I was so excited when the kids loved it! We watched it again before returning it and before the kids knew that Hubs had taken it back they asked to watch it again. They sing the songs and talk about the scenes and regularly remind us of their favorite parts. Bobo is loving 'What Do You Do With a General?' and I've heard Popeye singing 'I Wish I was Back in the Army'.
It's been fun to see the kids embrace an older movie. I guess it just shows that White Christmas really is a classic that stands the test of time.
What are your favorite Christmas movies? What Christmas cd's are you listening to? Are there any great songs we all need to hit itunes for? Please share.

The Bears
For kindergarten math we use math manipulatives. Right now we are just getting to know our new math helpers so most of Popeye's math time consists of play.Today it was time to meet the counting bears. As I was going through the lesson I was prompted to ask Popeye to tell me about the bears I had just put in front of him.
"Can you tell me about the bears?" I asked.
"They are dangerous and they will kill you" he replied.
Not those bears, Popeye.
