Today went great.
Surgery was delayed because of an emergency surgery and a small town that only has one surgeon on duty today. And that's really not a big deal except Bobo couldn't have anything to eat or drink and we all know how uncomfortable that is. He handled it like a champ, though.
The procedure took about 20 minutes and by 2:00 he was back in his room eating some jell0.
However, now starts the hard part. The surgeon couldn't sew him up because the infection would just refester. So now we must keep the wound packed with antibacterial gauze-like stuff and change it occasionally.
Basically, yuck for mom and ouch for Bobo.
We don't know when he will be released but the longer he stays the less I have to change. So I'm in no hurry. =)
