RC and I have some good friends we've known for about seven years now. Since moving back to A-town we've been able to see them more and just yesterday Bobo was in a coronation at the Doan's May Picnic where their daughter, Emma, was crowned the Doan's May Picnic Queen. As Queen she got to invite her friends to be in her court and Bobo was one of the ones she invited.
Emma's mother, Rochelle, just called me and told me that Emma was in a four-wheeler accident this afternoon. As we were talking, Emma was being life-flighted to Cook's Children's Hospital in Dallas. Rochelle wasn't able to be on the helicopter with her so she was driving there. It is a three hour drive.
Emma is stable, but obviously serious. One arm has both bones broken above the wrist, her liver is bruised and her lungs are leaking air. Emma is in fourth grade. The picture above is from yesterday. The tent was set up for her to change clothes in and we caught her for a picture as she was getting back to the tent when the coronation and pictures where over. For fun I scanned in a picture from Emma and Bobo's preschool Christmas show. Bobo was one of the wise men and Emma was an angel. Now I've got myself all teary-eyed.
Anywho...please lift up Emma, her healing, and her family. Thank you...tremendously.
