New Year's Eve

When I was growing up we had a New Year's Eve tradition. At midnight we would run outside and bang on pots and pans and yell "Happy New Year!" as loud as we could. If it wasn't too cold we would run up and down the street too.

We decided to bring back the pots and pans tradition this year. We hung out with friends, ate lots of good food, played fun games, and then when it was time we all got bundled up.

After everyone was bundled and had their pot or pan of choice we headed outside.
And since it was so cold and icy we decided to stay in the front yard. But we banged and yelled as loud as we could so as many as possible would hear!

Husband is obviously in charge of the camera during this time. And he's missing all the real action.
The kids loved it and thought it was way cool and very fun. I remember feeling the same way when I was young.

And, of course, we couldn't miss our New Year's kiss. There's no one else I would rather share it with!
